About the role: We are seeking an experienced Medical Receptionist to provide excellent customer service at our Central Dunedin branches. These are busy branches covering an array of medical imaging as well as interventional procedures (e.g. Biopsy). As a primary contact for our patients and referrers in the region, you will be expected to deliver a professional service with a strong focus on customer service and care.
Ideally you will have had previous customer service experience in a medical reception, office administration, or similar front-line customer contact role and competent in Microsoft Office. We are after someone who is the right fit for our culture and professional practice standards to work with our great branch members. You will have strong communication skills with the ability to build empathy and rapport with patients and referrers quickly. This is a full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Ideal Skills and experience: - Radiology administration and/or medical reception experience
- Excellent computer literacy - Proficient in Microsoft Office and quick to learn new computer systems.
- Fantastic communication skills and sound judgement, with a proven ability to build and maintain effective working relationships
About You: - You will have an excellent, professional phone manner and communication skills with the ability to build empathy and rapport with patients and referrers quickly (referrers being medical specialists, GP’s, Physiotherapists etc).

- You will have a strong customer focus with both patients and referrers – knowing when to listen, asking the right questions and sourcing further insight when needed
- You will be detail oriented
- You will be open to learning new systems, be coachable, and confident in asking questions when the need arises
