He whakamārama mō te tūranga mahi | About the role We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated property leasing specialist to manage a diverse and extensive portfolio of commercial leases across New Zealand. This is a pivotal role that ensures our leasing operations are compliant, efficient, and strategically aligned with our business goals.
This is a 14-month fixed-term contract to cover parental leave — ideal for someone looking to take on a high-impact role with national scope and the opportunity to make a tangible difference.
As the key liaison between our organisation and landlords, you will be responsible for negotiating lease terms, managing renewals, ensuring compliance with NZ leasing legislation, and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities of the role include:
- Manage a large and varied portfolio of property leases across New Zealand.
- Negotiate new leases, renewals, rent reviews, and lease exits.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant New Zealand property and leasing legislation.
- Maintain accurate lease documentation and records.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with landlords, property managers, and legal advisors.
- Provide strategic advice on lease optimisation and cost-saving opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal teams including finance, legal, and operations.

Ideally, you will have:
- Proven experience in property leasing or property management in New Zealand.
- Strong understanding of NZ leasing laws, including the Property Law Act and relevant commercial/residential tenancy regulations,
- Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in lease management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
