He whakamārama mō te tūranga mahi | About the roleFor Radiologists who wish to focus on the diagnosis and treatment of Breast diseases.
This fellowship can be six months or one year in Canterbury and covers a wide range of topics, including the interpretation of mammography, ultrasound, breast MRI, and other imaging modalities.
Fellows will gain hands-on experience in image-guided procedures such as biopsies, as well as in the use of newer technologies like digital mammography and tomosynthesis.
There will be opportunities to participate in regular conferences, case reviews, and work closely with Breast surgeons, Oncologists, and other specialists.
During our breast imaging fellowship you will also be exposed to the latest research and advancements in breast imaging and will be able to apply that knowledge to improve patient care.
Graduates of this fellowship will have advanced knowledge and skills in the diagnosis and management of breast diseases and will be well-prepared to work as specialists in breast imaging, providing valuable diagnostic support to Breast surgeons, Oncologists and other specialists.
