We have an exciting opportunity for a qualified Senior Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT) to join our region as we open our new branch with PET-CT facilities.
This is a newly created permanent position as we work towards adding Diagnostic Positron Emission Tomography (PET) scans to our comprehensive services provided at Pacific Radiology Otago and Southland. This role will also include Diagnostic CT scanning.
We are seeking someone who is excited by the challenge and possibilities available in shaping this new service and establishing this important imaging pathway for our patients of Otago and Southland. We are interested in someone that wants the challenge and enjoyment of rolling up their sleeves and being part of setting up the service as this role will be a vital part of making this new service happen!

About You Ideally the successful applicant will have the following skills, experience, and qualifications:
- Qualified Medical Imaging Technologist, if in New Zealand registered with the New Zealand Medical Radiation Technologists Board and hold a current practicing certificate.
- Trained in Nuclear Medicine and CT
- Competence in conducting a full range of both routine and complex procedures and quality assurance in PET-CT.
- Ability to perform IV cannulation.
- Working knowledge of the practical and legislative requirements of a Nuclear Medicine and PET-CT practice.
- Capable of exercising mature and professional judgement in respect of performance, service provision and allocation of duties.
- Able to work positively and collaboratively both independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people including our patients and their family/whanau as well as other health care professionals and providers.
- Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships.
- Flexible team player and highly self-motivated.
- An understanding of the importance of patient privacy and confidentiality.
