We have an exciting and rare opportunity for an experienced and highly motivated CT Technologist to step into a pivotal leadership role overseeing CT services across the Otago region.
This is your chance to make a real difference—driving clinical excellence, leading a talented team, and ensuring the delivery of high‑quality, patient‑centred radiology services.
As the Charge CT tech, you will be responsible for the day‑to‑day management and professional leadership of the CT team, ensuring efficient workflow and exceptional clinical standards. You will work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment, helping to shape and strengthen CT service delivery across the region.
This role will suit someone who is proactive, well‑organised, and committed to continuous improvement. Your technical expertise, leadership experience, and ability to foster a positive team culture will be key to your success.
Key Responsibilities - Provide strong, supportive, and inspiring leadership to the CT team
- Manage daily operations to ensure efficient and effective service delivery
- Maintain high clinical standards and manage regional best‑practice CT protocols and quality CT documentation
- Support staff development, coaching, and performance management
- Collaborate with radiologists, clinicians, and wider healthcare teams
- Contribute to service planning, quality initiatives, and workforce development
- Ensure a safe, patient-focused environment at all times
Ngā pūkenga e rapu nei mātou | About you You will bring a combination of advanced CT clinical expertise and proven leadership capability. Specifically, you will have:
- At least five years of leadership experience in a CT role or operational team leadership within a health environment
- Strong technical skills across a broad range of CT procedures
- Excellent communication, decision‑making, and problem‑solving abilities
- A team‑first approach with a focus on collaboration and staff wellbeing
- Ability to lead through change and contribute to service growth
- Registration with MRTB (or eligibility to register) and a current APC
