Deputy Charge CT Technologist

We're looking for an experienced and motivated CT Deputy Charge to join our team and play a key role in supporting the delivery of a high-quality CT service.

About the role

Reporting to the Charge CT Technologist, you will support the day-to-day leadership and operation of the CT service while maintaining a hands-on clinical workload. You will act as a technical expert within the team, helping to ensure excellent patient care, high clinical standards, and efficient service delivery.

This is an exciting opportunity for a senior CT MRT who enjoys mentoring others, driving quality outcomes, and stepping into leadership responsibilities.
Key responsibilities

• Support the Charge CT Technologist in the delivery of a safe, efficient, and high-quality CT service
• Deputise for the Charge CT Technologist when required
• Perform CT imaging and analysis in line with established protocols and best practice standards
• Assist with staff training, development, and support
• Maintain accurate protocols and quality assurance processes
• Contribute to service improvement initiatives and operational efficiency
• Foster strong relationships with colleagues, radiologists, referrers, and patients
• Promote a positive team culture focused on collaboration and excellence

About you

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Registration with the New Zealand Medical Radiation Technologists Board with a General Imaging scope of practice
• Extensive CT imaging experience and strong technical expertise
• Sound knowledge of CT safety guidelines, radiation safety principles, and quality assurance processes
• Proven ability to lead, coach, and support others
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• A commitment to delivering exceptional patient experiences
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
