We’re on the lookout for a
dynamic and driven IT Business Analyst / Senior IT Business Analyst to join our high-performing IT Solutions & Projects team. Christchurch location preferred but Auckland and Wellington may be considered for the right candidate.
A key part of this role is driving business outcomes through leadership, stakeholder guidance, managing projects and balancing BAU seamlessly. You won’t be shy from rolling up your sleeves and working through critical points to ensure projects progress and outcomes are delivered for the business. With your expertise, you will be able to plan and contribute to the development of functional specifications to meet the RHCNZ requirements.
What you’ll do: - Identify and define business problems and opportunities, working closely with stakeholders across clinical and corporate teams.
- Lead requirements gathering, documentation, and solution evaluation to ensure technology delivers real value.
- Analyse and improve business processes using modelling tools and structured analysis.
- Support project delivery by coordinating tasks, tracking risks, and maintaining momentum.
- Facilitate workshops, build strong relationships, and ensure alignment between business needs and technical solutions.
- Drive solution adoption through training, documentation, and knowledge sharing.
What you’ll bring: - A tertiary qualification in IT, Business Analysis, Health Informatics, or a related field.
- 3+ years’ experience in a Business Analyst or similar role—ideally in healthcare or a complex IT environment.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, adapt to change, and take ownership of outcomes.
- Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience with business process modelling tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart) and familiarity with healthcare systems like PACS, RIS, or EMR.
- A passion for delivering solutions that make a difference.
