We are seeking applications for a Mammography Service Lead at Pacific Radiology Wellington Manawatū. This is a pivotal leadership role within our breast imaging team, responsible for ensuring the efficient delivery of high-quality Mammography and Breast Screening imaging services across the region.
In this role, you will be the technical expert and quality champion for mammography services, supporting staff training and development and organising regular team meetings and CME events - keeping the team connected and at the forefront of best practice.
Working on the modality roster, you will perform a wide range of breast imaging procedures, applying your professional expertise in selecting and adapting the best imaging methods for each patient. You will also play a key role in supporting students within the mammography department and ensuring proactive communication with Branch Managers to keep the service running smoothly. Working alongside the Branch Managers and Quality Manager, you will monitor and manage relevant components of the quality management system, ensuring our services consistently meet RHCNZ's high standards and BreastScreen Aotearoa requirements.
Ngā pūkenga e rapu nei mātou | About you - General Imaging scope of practice registered with the New Zealand Medical Radiation Technologists Board (MRTB), with a current Annual Practising Certificate (APC)
- Post Graduate Certification in Mammography and BSA qualification
- In-depth knowledge of advanced breast imaging techniques, best-practice mammography, and current trends in quality assurance protocols
- Clear understanding of compliance with BreastScreen Aotearoa standards
- Knowledge of RIS and PACS systems and medico-legal responsibilities in the delivery of imaging services
- Proven leadership ability, with a talent for coaching, developing and mentoring staff
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care
