We are seeking an exceptional
Senior Sonographer to join our Whangārei team. This is an exciting opportunity to combine hands-on clinical practice with leadership, mentoring, and service development within a supportive, multidisciplinary environment.
As a senior member of the team, you will play a key role in maintaining clinical excellence, supporting the growth and development of fellow sonographers, and helping shape the future of our ultrasound service. This is a
permanent full-time position.
In this role, you will: - Perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations across a diverse range of clinical presentations
- Provide clinical leadership, guidance, and mentoring to sonographers and colleagues
- Foster a culture of collaboration, learning, and continuous improvement
- Contribute to service development initiatives and uphold the highest standards of patient care and imaging excellence
- Support quality assurance activities and help drive best-practice clinical outcomes
Ngā pūkenga e rapu nei mātou | About you You are an experienced and patient-focused Sonographer who thrives on supporting others and leading by example.
You will bring:
- Current Sonographer registration and Annual Practising Certificate
- Significant clinical ultrasound experience and advanced technical expertise
- A passion for delivering exceptional patient care and diagnostic excellence
- Experience mentoring, coaching, or supporting the development of colleagues
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships across multidisciplinary teams
- A proactive approach to problem-solving, quality improvement, and service excellence
