"These guys sort it out" - our 2026 Crusaders video with Codie Taylor is live

Published on 09 July 2026

When you're a professional rugby player, your body is your livelihood. So when something goes wrong, you want answers quickly - and you want to trust them.

That's the role we play for the Crusaders. Pacific Radiology is the Club's official medical imaging partner, working alongside Team Doctor Hamish Reid and the medical team behind the High-Performance Programme. When an injury happens, our Canterbury team provides the imaging - MRI, CT, X-ray, ultrasound - that helps the Club understand exactly what's going on. And when treatment calls for it, our radiologists also perform image-guided procedures, using real-time imaging to deliver targeted injections and other interventions with precision - helping players recover well and get back on the field safely.

Our new 2026 partnership video features All Blacks and Crusaders hooker Codie Taylor, who puts it simply: "Whatever they need to see, these guys sort it out." In it, Codie talks about what the partnership looks like from a player's point of view - quick answers after an injury, and radiologists and club medical staff working closely together so decisions about treatment and recovery are made with confidence.

The same care, for everyone

The care the Crusaders receive reflects the same standard we bring to every patient, in communities across New Zealand, every day. You don't have to be a Crusader to have our team behind you.

Whether you need an MRI, CT, X-ray, ultrasound or an image-guided procedure, you'll be looked after by the same experienced specialists and the same technology the Crusaders trust.

And it's worth knowing that where your imaging happens is your choice. If you need a scan, you can simply ask your GP, physiotherapist or specialist to refer you to Pacific Radiology.

Supporting the people who refer you

The partnership also helps us connect with the healthcare professionals who look after you. In May, we hosted an education evening for referrers on diagnosing and managing acute knee injuries in athletes. Crusaders Team Doctor Hamish Reid and Physiotherapists John Roche and Neil Tucker joined our own Dr Sam Gane to talk through how imaging supports diagnosis, rehabilitation planning and return-to-play decisions - with a Q&A panel featuring Codie Taylor to finish. Around 100 referrers joined us in person, with many more online.

From elite sport to everyday care, the idea behind this partnership is a simple one: everyone deserves clear answers about their health, and a team they can trust to sort it out.
