Pacific Radiology Proud to Continue Its Support of the New Zealand Brain Research Institute

Website Image for Paternership Announcement July 2026
Published on 16 July 2026

Pacific Radiology is delighted to announce the continuation of its longstanding sponsorship of the New Zealand Brain Research Institute (NZBRI), reaffirming a partnership that has helped shape the future of brain health research in New Zealand.

A partnership built on shared purpose

For many years, Pacific Radiology and NZBRI have worked side by side, united by a simple but powerful belief: better imaging leads to better understanding, and better understanding leads to better outcomes for patients.

Based in Christchurch, NZBRI was established with an ambitious vision - to deepen understanding of neurological conditions such as Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's disease, multiple sclerosis, stroke, and traumatic brain injury. World-class research of this kind demands more than scientific curiosity. It requires access to advanced imaging technology, clinical expertise, and partners willing to invest in the future of medical discovery.

That is where Pacific Radiology has been proud to play its part. Through access to cutting-edge MRI technology, radiology expertise, and ongoing support, Pacific Radiology has helped NZBRI researchers see the brain in extraordinary detail - revealing patterns, changes, and insights that were once invisible.

More than scans and studies

Together, the two organisations have contributed to research that has advanced understanding of neurodegenerative disease progression, early diagnosis, and brain ageing. Pacific Radiology's radiologists have worked alongside NZBRI's clinicians, scientists, and researchers with a common goal: improving the quality of life for New Zealanders affected by neurological disorders.

But the true strength of this partnership has never been measured solely in scans, studies, or scientific papers. It is measured in people - in the family who finds hope through participating in research, and in the young researcher inspired to pursue discoveries that could change lives for generations to come.

Looking ahead

Brain health research is becoming increasingly sophisticated - and increasingly urgent. Artificial intelligence, advanced neuroimaging, and precision medicine are opening new frontiers in neuroscience, and Pacific Radiology's continued sponsorship ensures NZBRI can keep pushing into them.

By renewing this commitment, Pacific Radiology and NZBRI will remain at the forefront of this journey together, helping position New Zealand as a leader in neurological research and innovation.

The partnership reflects something Pacific Radiology cares deeply about: a commitment to community wellbeing and medical advancement that goes beyond diagnostic imaging. Pacific Radiology is proud to stand alongside NZBRI through its research programmes, fundraising initiatives, and public engagement - and prouder still of what the two organisations can achieve together.
